On April 19, 2025, the closing ceremony of the 8th Young Innovators Lab was held at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, under the patronage of Dr. Ismael Al-Hinti.
The event offered an inspiring environment for presenting innovative, AI-powered projects and marked the culmination of a year-long journey of learning, discovery, and creation.
The exhibition concluded the Young Innovators Lab program,a distinctive initiative that empowers young learners to think, learn, and innovate through hands-on challenges that develop 21st century skills.
This year, 26 young innovators, aged 10 to 13, worked in six groups to develop and present six technical projects centered around this year’s theme: Innovate with AI. The theme was chosen to reflect how artificial intelligence is no longer just the future—it’s already shaping the present. The young innovators introduced how they integrated AI into their solutions to address real-world problems.
The program is a collaboration between Thinking Oasis and TheAbdul Hameed Shoman Foundation. It is built around a methodology developed and implemented by Thinking Oasis—one that leverages Socratic dialogue, guided questioning, and experiential learning to cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Throughout the year, participants explored fields such as AI, microcontrollers, coding, 3D design, scientific experimentation, electricity, and 3D printing, building a strong foundation of future-ready skills.
A Grand Opening with Distinguished Guests
The exhibition was opened with a formal ceremony featuring insightful speeches from Dr. Ismail Al-Hinti, president of Al Hussein Technical University, Dr. Waleed Deeb,CEO of Thinking Oasis, and Mrs. Valentina Kassisieh, CEO of AbdulHameed Shoman Foundation. The speeches underscored the importance of future-oriented education and the lasting impact of programs like the Young Innovators’ Lab on youth and society.
Adding to the occasion’s prestige were notable guests such as His Excellency Fayez Abu Rubb, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Qatar, alongside a diverse audience of educators, parents, entrepreneurs, and tech professionals from Jordan and abroad.
Youth Taking the Stage
The exhibition’s highlight was when the young innovators took the stage to present their projects. Each student shared the story behind the innovation, including the problem it addresses or the new product it presents, as well as who it targets. They spoke about their design process, their use of AI, and their visions for the future development of their solutions.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors expressed admirationfor both the quality of the projects and the personal growth evident in theyoung participants.
"Watching my child present their project with suchc onfidence and depth of understanding was beyond anything I imagined. This program didn’t just teach them technical skills, it nurtured their curiosityand gave them a purpose. I’ve seen such growth in how they think and solveproblems. I’m truly grateful for this experience."
Parent Testimonial
"As an educator, I was genuinely impressed by the level of critical thinking and creativity theseyoung students demonstrated. The methodology clearly fosters independentlearning and real-world application, and the results speak for themselves. Thisis a model that could reshape how we approach early STEM education."
Educator Testimonial
Many visitors noted that the event exceeded their expectations—not only in terms of the final outcomes but also in the confident and thoughtful ways the students communicated their ideas.
